Juana was the regent of Spain. Juana gives birth to a posthumous son to the Portuguese king. It occurs on January 20, 1554 and the child receives the name of Sebastián.
On July 12, 1554 Juana arrived in Spain to take care of the regency of the kingdom.
In 1557 she founded the Convent of the Descalzas Reales in Madrid. She knew how to perfectly play the role of her regent and that she was of great help in political affairs for her brother, Felipe II.
She died on September 7, 1573. -
