    Hobble skirts were popularized by designer Paul Poiret, the skirts wound band around the knees and constrict at the ankles to resist movement, these often led to injury due to lack of leg movement.

    The flapper style was easily recognizable due to the feathers and beaded designs. This was one of the most influential designs.

    This style came popular during the Great Depression so everyone was very excited by the new style of dresses that were long and elegant and flowed over the body

    The Bikini was originally created because there was a ration on fabric due to the war so designer Louis Reard created the Bikini

    Christian Dior created the New Look silhouette with a tight waist and layered skirt. This was a very popular look during wartime and was very feminine.
