During the industrial revolution we invented machines that could produce clothes in a better quality than we could when we could do it by hand. One of these inventions is what we call the sewing machine. -

During the Edwardian era the west became inspired by grace and elegance and thus woman wore dresses in the prestigious world and men wore suits. -
WW1
World war 1 influenced much including fashion. One of the things it did was cause for woman to get trousers designed for them as well as more masculine clothes. -

Woman began to wear high waist clothing more contrastable to what woman wear now. -
Diors rise
Dior began to design around Americas war era and began to dominate men and womanswear. -
Great reccesion
In 2008 a great recession occured believed to have inspired the minimalist movement in fashion.
