    Patient is admitted to the hospital due to complications from Henoch-Sohonlein Purpura (HSP). Patient is complaining of severe abdominal pain and a rash over the majority of her body. This event causes family to worry and disrupts everyday activities within the family because it requires mom to stqy at the hospital with patient and dad to take care of brother and sister.   • Family Support Systems

    Most of the extended family lives in Boston, but still remains a good support system. They are still able to visit family on holidays.Both maternal and paternal grandparents live relitively close and serve as the main support systems for this family.

    Family enjoys being active. They like to play soccer and other sports together. They also enjoy the outdoors. The family likes to attend sporting events for their favorite teams which are the Packers and Badgers.
