    during this time period the neanderthals used the skin from the animals that they would hunt and kill to use as clothing. these clothes were almost like a pancho, except they used a type of string to bind the clothes to their bodies.

    during this time the Egyptian people wore long linen shirts. the reason they wore this was because of the place they lived. The harsh hot climate of Egypt made it hard to wear more than one layer of clothes. the flax that the farmers would grow were woven into fine linen. the Egyptian people were influenced by the Assryians , Greeks, and Persians.

    The Greeks wore long silk or linen tunics to help with hot summer heat. During the winter the Greek people wore garments made of wool to keep arm during the winter. the Greek people hand made their own clothes. they cut it into various lengths and rectangular lines. the Greek people were influenced by the Minoans and the Mycenaeans and their sophisticated clothing.

    these people wore the same kind of clothing as the Roman empire which was a long robe that covered the entire body. there was a dress code during this time period. clothing represented the identity rank, profession, and the gender of the wearer. the Roman people were influenced by the Etruscans. The Romans inherited their love of draped garments from the Etruscans.

    the people of the 14th century evolved form long robes and tunic to dresses, shirts and pants. dresses were worn by all women rich or poor. the dresses that the women wore were layered so depending on the weather a certain number of layers would be worn. The people of the 14th century were influenced by the rich and the poor followed in their footsteps.

    these people also wore that same thing as the people of the 14th century except now the rich and the poor didn't wear the same thing. the poor men would wear a white wool shirt with black pants and the women would wear a colorful dress that had many layers. the rich would wear bright colorful clothes that had jewelry on them to show that they were expensive. The influence of fashion that the people of the 15th century came from the rich just like in the 14th century the poor copied that rich.

    during this time period the men evolved form wearing just a plain white shirt and black pants to wearing a 3 piece suit. men in England favored this kind of woolen suit and everyone would wear it. it didn't matter if you were rich or poor you had a three piece suit. though the rich had better looking suits that were more durable than a suit a poorer person would get. the inspiration came from the classical Greece high waist gown and long thin muslin skirts.

    the suit from the 18th century stayed during the 19th century but instead of being made of wool it was made out of cotton which was more comfortable than wool. the coats of the suit were made longer. the sleeves were made straighter and the shoulder made broader. the pants were also reworked, by making the waist bigger and the legs were cut into a straight tubular shape. the rise of gangsters inspired men's fashion in the 19th century.

    during this time period the men's fashion took a turn that it had never seen before. instead of wearing the typical suit that had been wore for the past couple hundred years the young men wore tight cut trousers and an everyday t-shirt. the inspiration came from the lack of materials during WWII which the people had to use new materials like nylon, polyester, and spandex.

    during the 1980's a new trend of fashion came along. street wear was a trend that started from the bottom and rose up. it consisted of wearing track suits which were really popular and shirt with designs and words on them. for the pants men would wear jeans or basketball shorts. women also participated in the street wear trend. the inspiration came mainly from the pop culture icons of that time period.

    for the early 2000's they really look to the future for inspiration. for a while a huge fashion trend was trench coats and thin square glasses. after awhile it street wear went from track suits and a t-shirt and jeans to very baggy clothes and chains. the inspiration of these fashion trends were the celebrities and the globalization of fast fashion.

    in the 2010's to 2019 men's fashion took another turn from baggy clothes to retro style clothes. there was also the hipster style which was skinny jeans and flannel t-shirts. after the hipster style men's fashion just became causal. the fashion of the 2010's came from the austerity era which was inspired by the fashion of the 1980's and 1990's fashion.
