    How - The tension of communism was starting to come to the feelings of the United States, and we realized that communism was becoming stronger

    How - It was the first bloody battle that resolved in the lost of many lives in more the democracy and communism side. This fight meant that we meant war, and that we were willing to fight for democracy. It would take us a step further.

It was primarily the result of the political division of Korea by an agreement of the victorious Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War at the end of World War II.

    How- launches of different types of satellites and trying different ways to get to the moon or orbit and it brings a new level of "fighting to win" to war

    Who- United States, Soviet Union
    What- An American U-2 spy plane is shot down while conducting espionage over the Soviet Union. piloted by Francis Gary Powers disappeared while on a flight over Russia.
    How- A chagrined Eisenhower had to publicly admit that it was indeed a U.S. spy plane.On May 16, a major summit between the United States, the Soviet Union, Great Britain, and France began in Paris. And America was embarrassed horribly.

    What- , the Communist government of the German Democratic Republic (GDR, or East Germany) began to build a barbed wire and concrete "Antifascistischer Schutzwall," or "antifascist bulwark," between East and West Berlin.

    What- President John Kennedy (1917-63) notified Americans about the presence of the missiles, explained his decision to enact a naval blockade around Cuba and made it clear the U.S. was prepared to use military force if necessary to neutralize this perceived threat to national security. Following this news, many people feared the world was on the brink of nuclear war. However, disaster was avoided when the U.S. agreed to Soviet leader Nikita Khrushch

    Nikita Khrushchev's (1894-1971) offer to remove the Cuban missiles in exchange for the U.S. promising not to invade Cuba. Kennedy also secretly agreed to remove U.S. missiles from Turkey.
    How-The Cuban Missile Crisis was one of the few times that the 'rules' of the Cold War were nearly forgotten. Berlin, Korea, Hungaryand Suez - the 'rules' had been followed. But in Cuba this broke down and the Cuban Missile Crisis was the only time when 'hot war' could have broken out.

    What- Russian officials went into Afghanistan to take control of it’s government because it’s prime minister Hazifullah Amin, was not doing a worthing job. Soviet Union and Amin wanted to make Afganistand communism and the Russians had gone into the country to take better control and make sure that it had turned to communism

    How- Afghanistan hit the world's headlines in 1979. Afghanistan seemed to perfectly summarise the Cold War. From the west's point of view, Berlin, Korea, Hungary and Cuba had shown the way communism wanted to proceed. Afghanistan was a continuation of this.
