King Louis the VI quickly married off Eleanor of Aquitaine to his son Prince Louis of France so that Eleanor would have been forcced into marriage by a stronger suitor that just wanted the inheiritence. Eleanor was destined to becomea future Queen, but Prince Louis of France was brought up thinking he was going to become a monk. On May 18th 1152 Queen Eleanor married Henry II, Duke of Normandy. After Queen Eleanor divorced King Louis she needed to marry a wealthy suitor that could help her politicaly and help combine her land. She married King Henry without King Louis's permission.

Queen Elanor leads her sons to revolt against their father King Henry II. As their marriage felt strained the plotting by Elenor against Henry increased. Elanor wanted the loyalty of all of Henry's followers to her and not him. She concinced all of her to plan against theri father to take the throne so that she and one of her sons could rule.
