    Nano Nagle was the founder of the presentation of the sisters. Edmund helped establish charity work. To get experience for himself.

    Drawing inspiration from Nano Nagle, Edmund renovated some property, and set up his first school for the ‘down and out’ children. New school called mount sion in Ireland.

    Monastery opened in Mount Sion school. This was built because of the success in a new street school leading to a more permanent building.
  • Takes vows as member of the Diocesan Society

    Edmund and 7 other companions took their vows to become brothers of the presentation.

    The announcement of marys death was made in four newspapers again indicative of the prominence of the family. As was the case with so much of Edmund's life there is nothing in writing by him of the effect this had on him but his actions speak volumes.
