  • Air-Traffic Controllers Strike

    PATCO wanted better working conditions, better pay, and a 32-hour workweek, so they declared a strike, and many lost their jobs because Reagan ordered them back to which many did not respond.

    A law passed to compel federally funded secondary schools to provide equal access to extracurricular clubs.
  • Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Act
