On October 6, 1949, a legend was born. Dr. Lonnie G. Johnson born to David and Arline Johnson. His father was a WWII veteran that worked as a civilian driver at Brookley Field, the local Air Force base, and his mother worked in a laundry and as a nurse's assistant.

Dr. Lonnie Johnson completed The “Power Drencher” prototype water gun.

He changed the name fro the "Power Drencher" to the "Super Soaker"

With the sponsorship of Lamari Corps. Dr. Johnson released the Super Soaker with another patent. Lamari started manufacturing it.

In 1991 - 92 The super Soaker has declared the best-selling toy in AMERICA.

In 2002 after Larami owning it for 20 years Dr. Johnson sold it to Hasbro when they started to manufacture Super Soakers.

In 2003 D. Johnson started working in a different direction making the JTEC engine (Johnson Thermoelectrical Energy Converter) which can harbor electricity from the heat surrounding it.

In 2007 with the partnership of Mr. Bart Sudderth (My robotics Coach) they created the 100 Scholars Robotics Alliance to train the Next Generation of Engineers in the Field of robotics.

In 2008 Dr. Johnson was given an Award for the Mechanics of the JTEC engine.

In 2010 Dr. Johnson sold the Super Soaker name again to NERF where they started to manufacture it.

In 2011 Dr. Johnson was put into the Alabama hall of fame for his many efforts and inventions as an inventor.
