Diana Spencer's Birth
Diana Spencer was born on July 1st, 1961. Her parents were Edward John(father) and Frances(mother) Spencer. Diana was the third born of her parents and was expected to be a boy. Even though her parents had expectations for a boy, they loved Diana just the same as there other two girls. -
Diana's Family
Diana had two older sisters, Sarah and Jane, and one younger brother, Charles. The spencers' were a happy family and very close with the Royal Family. After Diana's grandfather passed away, Diana and her sisters received the title of "Lady". -
Childhood
When Diana was four her mother hired a governess to help raise and teach the children. Diana was a well behaved and very polite young girl. These were the happy times of Diana's childhood. -
Divorce of her Parents
When Diana was eight years old her parents got a divorce. Diana's father gained custody of all four of the children, only allowing the mother to see them on weekends. Diana believed that her mother gave up to easily for custody of them. After the divorce Diana and Charles became very ignorant and very disobedient when they were home with their father, but whenever out in public or had guests over, they were back to being polite and well behaved. -
Early Education
Diana was educated at home by a governess hired by her mother until she was nine years old. Afterwards she attended Riddlesworth Hall in Norfolk until she was twelve years old. Diana was known to not be academically smart, but she developed an interest in the arts. -
Private School
Diana's father sent her to a private school in Switzerland to finish her schooling. Diana was failing school. She could not keep her academic marks up. Diana loved to dance and wished to pursue a career as a prfessional dancer, but was told by everyone that she was too tall to be a dancer. Diana quit school at the age of sixteen and was only at her private school for one term. -
Meeting Prince Charles
Diana's older sister, Sarah, had been in a relationship with Charles, but it was ended after Sarah was to open about it to the paparazzi. Charles was not looking to get married when he met Diana, but people close to him were urging him to do so. Whenever Diana was around Prince charles she would her elegant and charming self to try and attract the Prince's attention. -
Engagement
Prince Charles finally proposed to Diana. Diana was 20 years old when she married Charles. They married on July 31, 1981. Diana was feeling the pressure of becoming a princess. She had to learn the proper ways of being a royal. Other than the weighing pressure, Diana and Charles could not have been happier together. -
Married Life
A few months after Diana and Charles honeymoon, Diana began to change. Before meet Diana, Charles was close with a woman named Camilla Parker Bowles. Diana was suspisious that Charles was having an affair with Camilla thoughout their marriage. Diana also critisized Charles of putting his work before his wife and spending too much time working. -
Disorders
Diana began feeling depressed when Charles was not with her. She had horrible mood swings where she was fine one minute then crying or very anger the next. Diana also became obsessed with her appearance and developed a serious eating disorder, bulimia. -
The Birth of Prince William
Diana and Charles were happier than ever when the birth of their first son, William, was born. Diana finally began feeling happy again. Charles took off work for the first few months since William's birth. -
The Birth of Prince Harry
Charles did not take as much time off work as he did with William. The one big happy family that was excited with the birth of William, was not as exciting as it was with Harry. Diana and Charles were beinning to fall out of love. -
Decaying Marriage
The longer Diana and Charles were married the more time they spent apart. Diana and Charles both started seeing other people. Charles began seeing his mistress, Camilla Parker Bowles, as Diana had many different lovers. -
Affairs
Diana and Charles not longer loved each other. The lived seperate lives where Charles was with camilla and Diana was seeing many different men. Diana had an affir with James Hewitt. Another one with her bodygaurd Barry Mannakee and James Gilbey, but was assured that he was only a friend. Another one of Diana's lovers was Oliver Hoarde. -
Abortion
During the affair Diana became pregnant with Oliver Hoade's child, but Diana had an abortion because she was still married to Charles. -
Seperation
Diana and Charles spent a lot of time apart. They no longer felt the love they used to have. They took seperate vacations, holidays and even sperate rooms to live in. -
After the Divorce
Diana was trying to keep her title as the Princess of Wales, though both Charles and the Queen did not like the idea. The compromise was that she would be known as Diana, Princess of Wales. Diana was still allowed to live in Kensington Palace. Both parents had custody over their children. -
Diana's Death
Diana's Death shocked everyone. In an attempt to excape the paparazzi, in Paris. The black Mercedes crashed in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel. Dodi, Diana's bodygaurd was the only surivior of the crash. Charles, William, Harry and the rest of the royal family mourned the lost of Diana.
