  • The Stamp Act

    The stamp act was one of the several Intollerable acts. It made the colonists have to pay taxes on stamps that servesome sort of neccassary function.The Stamp Act was Parliament's first serious attempt to assert governmental authority over the colonies.

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occurred on March 5, 1770, between a "patriot" mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks, and a squad of British soldiers. Several colonists were killed and this led to the start of the american revolution.

  • The tea act.

    The Tea Act, passed by Parliament on May 10, 1773, would launch the final straw to the revolutionary movement in Boston. It was designed to help the East India Company which was loosing money because no one was buying their tea.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The king taxed the colony's tea and they weren't happy about that. They went to the harbors disguise as indeans. They got on the ships that brought the tea from east indea to the colonies. they snuck on board and dumped all the tea innto the harbor.
  • Intolerable Acts

    After the French and Indian War the British Government decided to reap greater benefits from the colonies. The colonies were pressed with greater taxes without any representation in Britain. This eventually lead to the Boston Tea Party. In retaliation the British passed several other acts aimed at bringing the colonies back into submission of the King.

    the quarteringact is anact that parliament enacted to order local governments of the American colonies to provide the British soldiers with any thing they need. this includes food, clothes, housing, etc.
