David Livingstone was born on March 19, 1813 in Blantyre, near Glasgow in Scotland.

His parents were poor, and he began working in a cotton mill by age 10.

Livingstone decided to become a medical missionary.
He worked as a doctor while spreading Christian beliefs.
When he completed his training he was sent to South Africa. -

Livingstone was against slavery trade. -

At first, she began to accompany him on his travels. -
He wanted to find a route from the upper Zambezi River to the coast.

Livingstone refused to go back to England

Livingstone’s servants found him dead in Chitambo (now in Zambia).

His body was taken to England and buried in Westminster Abbey.
Later that year The Last Journals of David Livingstone in Central Africa were published.
