  David Crosthwait was born on May 27th, 1898. He was born in Nashvile Tennessee and grew up in Kansas City Missouri.

  He graduted high school in 1908 in Kansas City Misssouri adn got a full academic scholarship to Purdue University.

  He earned a BS from Purude University and took a job in C.A. Dunham now known as Dunham Bush Inc.
 - 
  
  David Crothwait invented Air Conditioning around 1925.
 - 
  
  David began working as a technical advisor at Dunham Bush inc. in the 1930's.
 - 
  
  He won a medal from the National Technical Association in the 1930's.
 - 
  
  Around 1939 David invented lots of other things and one of them is thermostat control.
 - 
  
  David remained at Dunham Bush until 1971.
 - 
  
  David was a very successful man, sadly passed away on Feb. 25, 1976.

  The house of representatives issued an award in his honor on Feb. 2, 2008.
