In The Beginning
Daniel Clement Dennett III was born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 28th, 1942. Born from a father who was scholar of Islamic history and a mother who was an English teacher, he would come to be a prominent figure in naturalism and evolution. He would specialize in the areas of philosophy of biology, science, and cognition.

Studies Ensue
Dennett studied and received multiple diplomas throughout the span of his young adult life. He first graduated from Philips Exeter Academy in 1959. He would then go on to receive a Bachler of Arts form Harvard University in the year 1963 where he specialized in philosophy. After that, in the year 1965, he was awarded a Doctorates in philosophy furthering his studies. During these years, he studied under the likes of W. V. Quine and Gilbert Ryle who were well established philosophers. -
Teaching
After completing his formal education in 1965, he promptly moved to Irvine, California where he began teaching at the University. He then moved to Massachusetts to teach at Tufts University during 1971, where-in he soon became the director for the Cognitive Studies. -
Awards and Accolades
Daniel Dennett would go on to pioneer many studies into naturalism. Not was he an avid researcher he was also an accomplished write books such as Consciousness Explained and Kinds of Minds which delved in the cognitive mind plus natural selection. Through his studies and works he was awarded several honors such as 4 different Fellowships, 2004 Humanist of the Year, and the Golden Plate in 2006.
