franklin crabbe starts to put his plans into motion by gathering the nessesary supplies he thinks are needed for the journy. he takes the nessesary procautions to conseal all of the missing supplies with other objects.

crabbes gym teacher grant catches crabbe stumbling around and decides to check if he has any alcohol on him. after much searching grant finds crabbes secret bottle of silent sam.

crabbe finishes gathering supplies and is ready to leave. he just needs to find the right day to do it.

crabbe has had enough of school an family and decided that he would leave that day to go out into the wild. he takes the packs he prepared and then the canoe and sets off into the wild.

crabbe after falling off a waterfall and into the rocks blacks out for a day or two and wakes up to find out a young lady named mary saved his life by pulling him out of the waterfall.

after he wakes up crabbe learns he has broken his ribbs and arm and has suffered a deep cut.

marry tests crabbes abilaties to navigate through the forest by leaving and forcing him to navigate to the tree on his own.

mary gives crabbe a ying yang pipe to take off the load.

crabbe comes out of the tent to find out that there is frost on the ground. the importance of this is that this means Crabbe will have to prepare supplies for winter or go back to the city into civilization.

mary and crabbe plan to raid the storage house. the importance of this is that Crabbe and mary agnowlage the risks of what there about to do but do it anyways.

they raid the storage house and get some supplies and then mary gets captured by the hunters and crabbe sves her. This shows Crabbes will to help people and his newfound bravery.

crabbe goes to make a fire and when he comes back he searchs for her and finds out she died by falling off the cliff. After this Crabbe is in shock and disbelief. This is important because it shows the amount that Crabbe cared for mary.

crabbe is found by a man driving on the road and takes him to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. This shows how much crabbe was willing to risk to live out in the wild.

crabbe finds out two of his fingers get amputated and is in disbeleaf of how and why that happened. The importance of this is that crabbe will never be the same again and he will have to deal with his injuries.
