    James Cook, an established British explorer born on november 7th, 1728, set out on his third and final voyage in 1776. He was sailing for the Royal British Navy, and was attempting to find a legendary Northwest passage. He did however have somewhat of a liberal approach because he started from the pacific ocean in hopes he would find the Atlantic.

    Christmas with Limes
    Cook saild and discovered the Christmas Islands. He named them after the Holiday on which they were discovered. Somewhere in this process Cook had the idea to give his crew fresh fruit, making him and his crew the first Limies. Cook is Cooking up some limes.
  • Over eating sandwiches

    Over eating sandwiches
    After being the first European to explore the Christmas Islands, Cook went on and sailed to an un named archipelago which he named the Sandwich Islands. (Modern day Hawaii) Cook went from there to Alaska, and after unsuccessfully finding a northwest passage, Cook and his crew saided back to the Sandwich islands. This is where Cook's story comes to an end. A local tribe of Hawaii captured and killed Cook after he attempted to capture a cheif. Cook's crew sailed home to England without him.
