    He was the 34th president of the United States. Some of the things he did include becoming the president of the Columbia University in 1948, however he later then left to become a commander of NATO forces over in Europe. Eisenhower was also the Allied Forces leader and lead the Operation Torch. (Allied invasion)

    This was an organization created in 1938 to watch citizens closely and make sure no disloyalty of communism was taking place among them. The supervisor of this all was none other than Martin Dies, he set the committee down. This was all taking place during the Cold War.

    This was a law that gave a range of many benefits to those returning from the World War II (A.K.A veterans -also known as G.I.s) It provided them with funds for college, gave them unemployment insurance, and housing. It also helped make hospitals and made certain mortgages available.

    This is a U.S. policy that Harry S. Truman founded in 1947. It deals with operating on the principle that communist gov. will not last and will fall sooner or later since they are against for expanding their influences. This was used to stop spread of communism and used against Soviet Union.

    This was an American policy (created by Harry S. Truman) used to stop Soviet expansion during the Cold War. This also stated that we, the U.S., would help other countries economically, as well as provide political and military aid. It was further developed in 1948 when Truman pledge to threat Greece and Turkey.

    This was American aid to Western Europe; the United Sates gave them over $13 billion in economic aid. The main purpose was to help rebuild Western Europe after World War II.

    This was a campaign against Communists in the United states as well as other people/institutions by Senator Joseph McCarthy. People who were accused lost their jobs or were blacklisted.

We, the U.S., was basically the winner of this war (as we got involved since we were trying to help the South) however a peace treaty was signed. This is also known as the Second Indochina War against America.

    Lyndon B. Johnson was the 36th president of the United states. Johnson is most remembered by his Great Society programs, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. He died in 1973 from heart attack.

    This was a result of the Gulf of Tonkin incident. As well as this resolution also led America to enter the Vietnam war. It was passed on August 7th, 1964 in response to the incident.

    This was a series of major attacks by communist forces during the Vietnam War. What also occurred is Vietnamese (communist) troops held some major cities during the time of the lunar year, which is also known as Tet. This played a big role in weakening the U.S. public support towards the Vietnam War.

    This was the act of a man landing on the moon in a manmade object. The first to ever do so was Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Micheal Collins as they were the ones aboard the Apollo 11 -the first ever aircraft from earth to land on the moon. Between 1969 and 1972 threw were 6 manned U.S. landings.

    This was a policy constructed during the Vietnam war giving the south full responsibility for carrying the war and to allow the removal of American troops. It was sued as encouragement for the south in Vietnam to do better in the war. Thanks to President Nixon this policy was created.

    This was a sort of resolution used to check the presidents power to commit to the United States to an armed conflict without the consent of the U.S. Congress. This act was passed due to the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War (to limit number of troops sent).
