    Mr. Jackie Robinson played baseball. He went to UCLA and lettered in four sports.He became the first African American player in the Major League Baseball in 1947.He played baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He passed away in 1972 from heart complication and diabetes.

    In 1961, East German Soldiers built a concrete wall with barbed wire to keep people from East Berlin out. The wall is 69 1/2 miles long. The wall blocked everyone who tired to escape from the East to the West. If they were caught trying to escape to the West they were shot by the guards.

    JFK was our 35th president. He was riding in a convertible with his wife in a parade. As they passed a Texas School Book Depository a man known as Lee Harvey Oswald shot 3 times at the President. He ended up dying 30 minutes later at a local hospital at the age of 46.

Medicare was started in 1965 by President Lyndon Johnson. This helps citizens over the age of 65 pay for medical bills. Older adults pay almost 3 times as much as younger people.

At 11:39 am the shuttle launched not even a minute after lift off there was a cloud of black smoke came about then it busted into flames. The challenger disintegrated over the Atlantic ocean. There were no survivors.

Social media sites have changed the way we interact with each other. We think for the bad because you don't talk to people face to face anymore. This started with Geocities in 1994.

Michelle Obama held the bible, which was used nu Abraham Lincoln at his 1861 inauguration.
