The Truman Doctrine was established by President Harry s. Truman in which it would be used to help or assist any foreign countries when their stability would become compromised or threatened by communism. -
The Marshall Plan was dedicated to the Western European Countries after WWII to provide them aid. -

The country of Germany decides that British & French zone will have the same currency which is called Deutsche mark! Like American dollars, the currency has important people on the front but the money is colored all differently. -

Stalin would eventually meet the end of his life on March 5th,1953. -
This was a series of atomic tests of 11 explosions at a Nevada Test Site that took place over a course of 3 months. -
Finally, as things advance further, on July 27th, 1953, the Korean War ends! -
Within these hearings broadcasting live on TV, many people did not support McCarthyism any longer as more info was spread. -

This Revolution broke out between the Soviets and Hungarians. As the rev continues the Hungarians fall to the Soviets due to their bigger military and power. -
Only more than a week later after the Hungarian Rev. Nasser was in power & three countries consisting of France, Israel, and the UK infiltrated and fought Egypt to defeat and alleviate the crisis once and for all. -
A Doctrine created by the U.S. Gov and President Eisenhower, it would now allow the country to defend Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. This would stop the reins of communism in these countries and keep them as a fat away from it as possible from communism infection again. -
On May 2nd, 1957, the man who believes everybody was a communist, blacklisted multiple innocent people, and invented McCarthyism dies. His death was sped up due to an excessive amount of drinking and having been ill. -
The USSR launched Sputnik 2 with a dog named Laika on it which was known to be the first organism to go to space. Laika was a stray from Moscow, Russia. -
This would be one of the first satellites put into space by America. As this progressed on Earth so did the space race as well! -
After the end of the first Taiwan Strait Crisis, a second one would come into motion due to China bombing Quemoy. Quemoy is governed by Taiwan but is actually a group of islands! -
Guinea which was previously ruled by France finally gains its independence from the country on October 8th, 1958. -
Fidel Castro becomes the new dictator of Cuba due to his victory in the Cuban Rev on January 1st, 1959. -
The U.S. launches the American National Exhibition in Moscow and leaders from each country Nixon & Krushchev, openly debate about each superpower and how things look for the future as they progress. -
Another space-related launch by the Soviet Union, the Luna 3. This spacecraft's purpose would be to photograph certain parts of the moon that couldn't be easily seen on Earth. -
During the month of August, many countries claim their independence from France. These countries include Niger, Chan, & Gabon. Other countries in the future would also gain independence as well. -
France finally hits it off with their first atomic bomb, Gerboise Bleue where was set off in the Sahara Desert on February 16th, 1960. -
This was a speech given in front of the General assembly stated by Sukarno that the United Nations aren't doing exactly what they need to, their neutrality, and where they are located. Speculations would arise shortly after this. -
On the date January 20th, 1961, a new president would take office, John F. Kennedy. He beat Richard Nixon in the election after pleasing the audience with his good lucks and charms. -
The soviets launch yet another spacecraft, but this time a real human would officially orbit the Earth. Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet pilot was the one on board to complete this mission. -
On August 17th, 1961, the United States would start aiding Latin America. This way there would be trade, economic agreement, and no further altercations of any kind. -
During the months of October-November, 1962 the Himalayan War took place. China would attack India and once it came to an end, China had only gained a small strip of India to the border, Aksai Chin. -
Quickly after the Soviets, the U.S. wanted to do the same, so John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth! -
Not long after the placement, Cuba found that the Soviets were planting several missiles on their land. This could have almost broken out into a nuclear war but both countries feared the worst so they made a compromise with one another. -
This was a speech given by JFK in Belin about anti-communism. It is one of the most famous speeches known during the times of the Cold War. -
President John F. Kennedy is assassinated while campaigning while in Dallas Texas. -
After Kennedy's assassination, Lyndon B Johnson would become America's next president in place. Conspiracies rose about Lyndon being the cause of Kennedy's death, but also possible involvement with the CIA, Mafia, etc. -
Nation leaders President Lyndon b. Johnson and Secretary Nikita Khrushchev make the collective decision to put nuclear weapon production to a stop as this would be no good. Nuclear war and weapons can cause great damage that no country wants to deal with or pay for as well. -
This was an accusation President Johnson made that two American naval vessels has been destroyed by North Vietnam. However, it was later found out this was not the case and a huge disruption came between the two. This was later resolved but led the U.S. into the Vietnam War. -
China is one of the next countries to release and test its first atomic bomb. This made China the fifth nuclear power out of the other nuclear power countries. -
Also known as the April Rev. supporters of Juan Bosch overthrew the Dominican Republic's current leader Donald Reid Cabral. This caused slight chaos to break with the people and government. -
This was a movement of Indonesians who banned together to assassinate six Indonesian Generals. people were then blamed for the killings, the communist party was being attacked, etc. -
On November 22nd, 1965, the Chairman of the Communist Party in Indonesia was executed. He became known as a fugitive after the 20 September Movement and was wanted ever since. -
With the space race progressing rapidly and quickly, the Luna 9 is launched and lands on the moon. This spacecraft was the first to ever make a landing on the moon successfully! -
This ended any hatred, malice, or future aggression between Indonesia & Malaysia. The accord was signed by Adam Malik & Tunku Abdul Razak. -
On August 26th, 1966, the South African Border War begins. It has many different names but was fought between the South African Defence Force and the People's Liberation Army of Namibia.
