    The most popular nation was admitted to NATO which caused the Warsaw pact to be created. France and Britain attacked and attempted to take the Suez canal back for Egypt. He nation was admitted because France and Britain were weak and the French government was concerned that the USA was dominating the alliance. Because of this the greater economics and the political freedom and soviet union movements, they gained strength and much international tensions grew (NATO).

    During the Potsdam Conference leaders discussed about the peace settlements for Europe. Both Germany and Japan disagreed and campaigned against the new weapons. The Potsdam conference was held because the allies wanted Germany to prepare for the reconstruction of their new life of the democratic economy. The allies also needed a plan for peace.

    The Berlin Airlift started on June 24th 1948, rising tensions between many Western powers and the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union forces to blockade rails, roads, and the water access to the Allied controlled areas of Berlin. The state of West Germany as established. Western Europe created a Bulwark against the Communist community by drawing participating states into the US economic orbit causing the number of aircraft to increase.

    Throughout June 1950 and July 1953, both North and South Korea fought which both the US and China were Involved, on June 25th 1950 North Korea attacked South Korea's’ ward. During the Korean war the Soviet Union took over the North and and the US took over the South. The US sent troops with other 15 countries while South Korea and its allies went into North Korea.

    The Korean War happened because the United Nations wanted to put the country back together but the Soviets refused to let others vote for a new government. Korea was officially divided into North and South Korea. 1,300,000 South Koreans, 1,000,000 Chinese, 500,000 North Koreans and 37,000 Americans died (Korean War).

    Throughout 1954 and 1975 Vietnam was split into 2, North and South Vietnam. During the war the US helped South Vietnam fight back.Since the US was helping South Vietnam, they trained their army in preparation. North Vietnam wanted to reunite Vietnam under communism but since South Vietnam didn’t want that many Communist rebels in the South begun fighting the president of the south instead of the president of the North.

    As a result North Vietnam won the war and the country was united under Communism. 1.3 million Vietnamese soldiers, 58,000 us troops and 2 million civilians, all died (Vietnam War).

    The Soviet and Eastern Europe both all created an alliance and put troops and weapons on Eastern Europe. The Soviet Union wanted to create a strong defense alliance in response to NATO to control the East. This caused Nationalism and hostility against the Soviet. The response was to use force from the Soviet Union (Warsaw Pact).

    On October there was active fighting but by November 1st Nagy declared Hungry as neutral following, on November 4th the Soviet Union invaded Hungary to stop the revolution. Two years later Nagy was executed for treason in 1958. Nikita Khrushchev attacked Joseph Stalin's rule. Rubles won the first phase of the revolution following the victory Nagy agreed to establish a multi party system.

    The Suez Crisis was provoked by the American and British decision, making the Egyptian president the nationalize the Suez canal because the USA and Britain decided not to finance Egypt’s construction of Aswan High Dam. Egypt declared a martial law in the canal zone which gave it an advantage to win and be declared as a hero for Arabs and the Egyptian nationalism.

    France and Britain secretly set military action to regain control of the canal and dispose of Nasser but because of this they lost influences on the Middle East, At last Israel did not win their freedom but still had the ability to ship things in the straits of Tiran (Suez Crisis).

    On October 4th 1957, The Soviet Union launched earth’s first artificial satellite. The United stated and the Soviet Union were working to develop different technology. Which gave intensity to the arms race and the cold war tensions. There was a race between both the Soviet Union because there was fear of the United States of falling behind in developing new and improved technology that could make them better.

    The Cuban Missile Crisis, there was a 13 day political and military standoff. President John Kennedy notified Americans about the presence of the missiles. The US agreed to the Soviet Union leader about removing Cubans missiles in exchange for the US to not invade Cuba.

    The crisis was caused because of the installation of the nuclear armed of Soviets missiles on Cuba. Also the US wanted to make it clear that they were prepared to use military force if it was necessary. As a result many people feared that there was going to be a nuclear war (History.com Staff).

The decentralized takes control and encourages enterprises to become self financing because of a program that aimed at restructuring the Soviet economic and political policy.There was a big interest in maintaining status quo for many. Also there was a moderate and controlling that refused to revitalize the Soviet economy.
