    The West was shipping resources to West Berlin, so they could rebuild the place. Stalin didn't like that the west was constantly coming into his section of Germany. So he blocked off the roads so they couldn't ship the resources to West Berlin. So they had to fly all the resources to them. After a year of this, Stalin opened the roads which ended the Berlin Airlift.

    In 1954, France was pulled out of Vietnam because they lost the Indochina War, so after the country split into North and South Vietnam. North was communist (Viet Cong) and South was capitalist and both had wanted one thing to unified Vietnam. But America wanted to prevent the spread of communism, so the USA joined the South Vietnam. In April 30, 1975, Viet Cong launched a large attack on the South Vietnam capital, and won which ended the war.

The successful launch shocked the world, giving the former Soviet Union the distinction of putting the first human-made object into space

The operation was launched on April 17, 1961, but it quickly became apparent that the Cuban exiles were outnumbered and outgunned by Castro’s forces. The invasion was a complete failure, with most of the exiles being killed or captured.

This put USA in a panic, so they asked USSR if they could take there missiles away. They agreed to do so if they took there missile that were in Afghan. When USSR went to pick up there missile, USA fired a warning shot at them. 3 people in a submarine had to all agree in order to fire a nuke at USA. but one guy didn't agree so they didn't.

The treaty formally went into effect on 10 October 1963. Since then, 123 other states have become party to the treaty.

There was also a Prague Uprising in 1848, also known as the Pentecostal Storm, which was an armed conflict that culminated in the revolutionary process in the Czech lands.

The fall of the Berlin Wall was globally celebrated because of the peaceful atmosphere that came with it. The Berlin Wall’s fall meant that the Cold War was considered to be over.
