After John F Kennedy was elected in 1960 the Soviet Union made the Berlin Wall to stop citizens in the Eastern side from going to the western side. -
Cuban Missle Crisis
It started with Fidel Castro and as he opposed the Americans ways, the Soviet Union put nuclear submarines in Cuba. The whole world was awaiting a nuclear war. -
Vietnam War
Through 1962 to 1975 America was in the Vietnam War since the Soviet Union was aiding the Viet Cong. America and the Soviet Union never confronted each other in the war. -
Olympics
Both the U.S. and the Soviets even competed in sports. America boycotted the Moscow olympics and the Soviets boycotted the Los Angeles olympics. -
USSR gone
The August Coup which was the house arrest of Gorbashev. Eventually the USSR realized its bankrupcy and the USSR collapsed.
