    : The conference was held on July 17 to Aug 2 1945 Paragraph:The Potsdam Conference was a big meeting discussing peace settlements for Europe.The meeting was held by President Harry .S Truman , British Prime Minister Winston Churchill , and soviet premier Joseph Stalin.

    On March 22 1947 Harry S. Truman declared immediate economic and military aid to the government of Greece. The US and Soviet struggled to reach a balance of power during the cold war. Great Britain could no longer afford to aid mediterranean countries which the west feared were danger of falling under the Soviet influence.The doctrine was seen an open declaration of the cold war.

    The Marshall Plan started April 1948- Dec 1951 Paragraph:The US sponsored the program and designed to rehabillitate economics 17 western and southern. The US helped Europe with a come back when the war had ended.They had very little of everything and the US gave them money.It aided Western Europe in which the US gave over 12 billion in economic support to help rebuild European economies after the war had ended (Marshall Plan).

    Date:The active fighting broke out in Hungary Oct 1956. Paragraph:The speech was done by Soviet leader L. Nikita Khrushchev.In 1956 he attcked a period Joseph Stalin’s rule. People actually did like his rule and were encouraged by new freedom of debates and criticism.On nov 4 1946 the Soviet invaded Hungary to stop the revolution and Stalin’s domination and exploitation (unfair treatments ) did not return (Hungarian Revolution).

At the end of World War ll the leaders of the allied countries gathered at the Yalta Crimea to blame the final defeat/ divison of Nazi Germany.

The Soviet took over the soviet Union, and the U.S wanted to reunite them but the North refused to allow people to vote on a new government.

    Date: The Warsaw Pact started May 1955 - July 1 1991 between the Soviet Union and E.Europe.The Soviet Union wanted to create a strong defense alliance in response to NATO East Europe and they moved weapons and troops in Eastern Europe.The purpose was to strengthen the hold of the soviet union Eastern Europe satellites and also to prevent them from getting close ties with the west as stated in the second paragraph.
