The Ukraine's time in the cold war
The Ukraine came out of there own civil war and Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic became one of the founding republics of the Soviet Union. The Ukriane SSR was part of the founding United nation in 1945. And in 1991 the Ukraine became independent agian when the Soviet Union dissolved. The time from the civil war and the end of the Soviet Union from the civil war more than 700 cities and towns and 28,000 villages were destroyed in the period of the cold war. -

Belarus with the soviets past
In June 1988, archaeologist and leader of the Christian Conservative Party Zyanon Paznyak discovered mass graves of victims executed in 1937–41 at Kurapaty, near Minsk. Some nationalists dicussed that this finding is proof that the Soviet government was trying to erase the Belarusian people. -

The political and ecinomical collapse was hard for the USSR and so the Gorbachev's government went into meeting and from there on the USSR dissovled and with that the cold war as well.
