Korean War
Was a war between Republic of Korea and Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It was primarly the result of the political division of Korea by an agreement of the victorious Alliest at the end of the Pacific War. More than 26,000 Canadians served in the Korean War. In fact Royal Canadian Navy was the first air forces to provide aid to UN forces in Korea. More than 516 Canadians died during the Korean War. -

Suez Crisis
Diplomatic and military confrontation betwwen Egypt on one side and Britain, France and Israel on the other, where also the United States and USSR, and the United Nations played major roles in forcing Britain, France and Israel to withdraw the crisis. Canada also made a name for itself as they were reconized for thier innovative peacekeeping scheme instead of the aggression. Without the involvment of Canada this crisis could of ended in another war. -
Formation of NORAD
Recommended by the Joint-Canadian-U.S. Military Group where after it was approved by the United States JCS. It is an organization of Canada and the United States that provides aerospace warning, air sovereignty, and defense for the two countries. -
Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow
Was a delta-winged interceptor aircraft, designed and built by Avro Aircraft. It was designed in Malton, Ontario. Not long after 1958 the first flight program test, the development of the Arrow was stopped sparked a debate. -

Fall of the Berlin Wall
The Berlin Wall was a wall that seperated Western from Eastern Germany. The wall fell on November 9,1989 when the head of East Germany Party annouced that citizens of GDR could pass the border when they want. That night it was open and crowds of people smashed the wall with hammers, picks and other necessary tools to take down the wall. -
Break up of the Soviet Union
The USSR was formally dissolved by a declaration of the Soviet of the Republics of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union. The declaration acknowleged independence of all republics of the Soviet Union following the creation of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
