    The iron curtian was a imaginary boundry in which the soviet union and its allies but a barrier between themselves and the rest of the world, exceept to start problems. On one side of the coin you have the USSR and their allies and on the other you have the USA and thier allies. 1941-1995.

    Containment was a policy the United States put in place after the Cold War to try the spread of communism. Mainly towards Russia. but this policy spread to cover the entire world. After the moves of by the Soviet Union the Americans believed they needed to try and contain the spread of communism to other surrounding countries.

    The Marshall plan was the aid the Americans gave to the Europeans after the end of WWII. The program was put in place to try and stop the spread of communism and open up trade routes. It lasted for over 4 years.

    The first fight to kick off the Cold War. USSR and Germany blocked off the airways and railways to Berlin, which is one of the major "ally" power controls. The Germans and USSR idea was to cut off supply to Berlin forcing the allies to give up control to USSR.

    After a British plane was crashed by the impact given by a Soviet Union plane. After months of negotiations between the allies and Soviet Union the allies decided to take a massive chance and attempt to deliever supplies by dropping crates from airplanes overhead.

    NATO was short for North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It is a treaty put in place to always have backup incase of an attack on your country someone else would help you out.

    A war fought between the Republic of Korea and the United Nations. The Koreans were backed by many other outside forces like the likes of the Soviet Union and the Republic of China. Mostly because of the fallout of WWII and all the treaties signed and agreements reached by these nations.

    The Vietnam war was a post WWII fight between North Vietnam who was supported by China and South Vietnam who was supported by the USA. Once again the United States got involved due to the fact that they wanted to stop the spread of communism from the North Vietnamise to the rest of the world.

    Warsaw is a shortened word for Warsaw Treaty Organization of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance. It was a 8 way defensive plan after WWII of multiple communist state.

    This was the attempt to modernize and raise the economy of China. After Mao Zing came to power he wanted to make China into a power. So he basically looked at America as a sort of "Standard". But fighting between the political parties so it ended in 1963.

    The unsuccessful attack was an attempt to rid the communist country of Cuba of its communist dictator, Fedel Castro. The team of Brigade 2506 was intercepted and defeated by the Cuban armed forces lead by Castro. The fighting took all of 3 days to stop.

    An effort by JFK to create a stable goverment by turning North and South America by contributing around 80 milion dollors a year.

    An abbreviation of the Organization of the Perroleum Exporting Coundtries. OPEC is the a group of individuals trying to protect the major oil producing countries.. OPEC is used to make rules the countries follow to make sure they will continuseally gain money.

    A military campain by the Viet Kong and North Vietnam against Southern Vietnam and The United States. The campain was a series of suprises attacks of civillians and goverment officals.The reasoning behind the name was due to the fact that it was during a time of a "cease fire". More then 800,000 troops for the communist attacked more then 100 cities during this campain.

    Was the first spaceship and its crew to land on the moon. The crew included Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong. Launched from the Kennedy Space Stations in Flordia.

After a burgulary the FBI tried the stolen money back to a "slush fund" that helped the president get re-elected. Nixon ended up becoming the first and only president to resign from the United States Presidency spot.

But this years games was held in Germany which is the sight of the recently destroyed Holocaust. So the USA stayed out of the games. The games were a major disaster, with riots, beatings, kiddnappings, and killings.
