Chapter 1
President Snow stops by to warn Katniss that he's watching her, and that he does not want her to pull any rebellious stunts. Also that if she wants Gale to live she must make him believe that her and Peeta are really in love. -
Chapter 4
Katniss and Peeta visit District 11, home of Thresh and Rue, for the Victory Tour. As Katniss is making her speech she starts a small rebellion, and sees the man who does Rue's mockingjay call executed by Peacekeepers. -
Chapter 5
Peeta proposes to Katniss in front of everybody at the Captiol for their PR stunt, everybody seems to believe that they are actually in love but Katniss can tell President Snow is still not satisfied, -
Chapter 8
The peacekeepers find out that Gale was hunting off grounds and he is taken to the town center and whipped. Even though it is too late Katniss flings herself over Gale to protect him and gets hit across the face. Haymitch arrives to stop everything and Gale is taken to Katniss' house and treated by her mother while he is unconscious. -
Chapter 9
Katniss realizes that her time is running out and still cannot make up her mind about leading a rebellion or running away. She goes to the woods to think but sees a person in a person in a peacekeeper uniform with a mockingjay pn on bread. Then she realizes that this is no ordinary peacekeeper. -
Chapter 6
A man named Plutarch Heavensbee comes up to dance with Katniss. Who is the new Head Gamemaker and tells her howhe's getting ready for the Quarter Quell.
Then he makes a big point of showing her his watch and telling her what time it is. As Katniss watches closely she sees the image of a mockingjay appear on the watch but then vanishes.
plutarch says he's going to a meeting but not to tell anyone. He says they'll meet again at the next Games, then leaves. -
Chapter 7
Gale pushes Katniss to choose between him and Peeta, but she won't. Katniss mentions the problems in District 8 and Gale makes her tell him everything. Katniss blames herself for the deaths and destruction to come, but Gale says she's an inspiration and that there should be a rebellion. While they argue, Gale says Katniss could lead a rebellion. But she does not want to. Angry, he leaves and alone, Katniss thinks, possibly about running away.
