Peeta gives bread to Katniss
Quote : "The boy took one look back as if checking that the coast was clear, then, his attention back on the pig, he threw a loaf of bread in my direction." Peeta helped Katniss by giving her the burt bread that he was supposed to give to the pigs. He gave it to her because she was starving and really needed help. Peeta had not known Katniss before, he was just being kind when giving the bread to her. -
Haymitch tells Katniss he will help
Quote: "You don't interfere with my drinking, and I'll stay sober enough to help you," Haymitch is helping Katniss by giving her advice and tips on how to survive in the games. He also will help her with the fighting too. Both of those things help her during the game and help her to survive the longest. -
Cinna prepares Katniss
Quote: "and we both see it our job to make district Twelve tributes unfotgettable," says Cinna. Cinna is helping Katniss by making her have a impression on people at the cerimonies so that maybe she could get sponcers. He also is helping her by showing every one that district twelve is something to watch for in the games that year. -
peeta tells haymitch Katniss's strenghths
Quote: "She's exellent," says Peeta. "My father has been buying her squirrels. He always comments on how the arrow never pierces the body." Peeta is helping Katniss by telling Haymitch that she is very skilled at shooting bow and arrows. This shows haymitch that he can teach her how to use that ability in the games. Haymitch can now realize what she is best at so he can focus on helping her with that. -
Katniss recieves an Eleven.
Quote: Then they're flashing the nuber eleven across the screen.
Eleven!" The score of 11 on the ratings helps Katniss because it shows everyone that she is very skilled and a important tribute in the hunger games. It also will help her get sponcers because it will help her get reconized. -
Cinna gives Katniss the pin
Quote: "I think I am finished when Cinna pulls the gold mockingjay oin from his pocket. I had completly forgotten about it." Cinna helps Katniss by giving her the pin because it was what she had since the beginning. The pin gives her a piece of home with her during the games. It gives her hope and a sence of protection, because she gave the pin to her sister, Prim for the same reasons. -
Rue tells Katniss about the tracker jackers
Quote: Then, without even rustling a leaf, her little hand slides into the open and points to something above my head." Rue helps Katniss by showing her that there are tracker jackers above her head in a tree because she can use them to her advantage to get away from the other tributes below her. It also helps her by showing Katniss to be aware because tracker jackers are deadly. -
When Peeta saves Katniss's life
Quote: "Sick and disoriented, I'm able to form only one thought: Peeta Mellark just saved my life," Peeta helped Katniss by telling her to run, and pushing her along. He saved her life by helping her to not be killed by the tracker jackers or the other tributes. -
Rue fixes Katniss's stings from tracker jackers.
Quote: Rue tentatively steps out into the open. "I can fix your stings." Katniss was helped by rue because she fixed Katniss's stings she got from the tracker jacker. It helped Katniss because then she would not be injured for any longer during the Games. -
Thresh saves Katniss from Clove
Quote: "Clove is dangling a foot off the ground, imprisoned in Thresh's arms." Thresh saved Katniss's life because Katniss was very kind to Rue. At that point Rue had been killed, Thresh thought that Clove did it so he killed her and spared Katniss. This helped Katniss a lot because right before Thresh grabed Clove she was about to kill Katniss. Thresh cared for Rue because they were both from the same district, district 11.
