World War 2 begins with the German invasion taking David Fabers older brother named Romek, causing there family to flee to a town further away. -

David's dad gets captured
David's dad becomes captured and David sneaks out and gets him out of doing the trench work and run away seconds before everyone digging got shot. -
Apartment
Davids family found an apartment in a village and hid there for a fewe months. David found a bird and would feed it and it brought its friends for a while then one day the birds didn't show up and Daivid's mom said there not here for a reason so they hid in a hollow part of the wall by there staircase and a few minutes later Germans came in a shot everyone in the building except them who were hiding in the wall. -
The First Camp
David went to the store one day in ealry May and while walking there he was captured into a German army truck and was taken to a camp called Pustkow vacation camp -
Fire
After a while, David escaped the camp and was picked up by Russians who dressed him up like a girl to derail German weapon trains. After a while of doing that he went there one day to do that and there was a fire and he hid himself under dirt and used a barrel of a gun to breath and the fire jumped up and over where he was and lived while everyone else died, then was taken back to his old apartment to see his family again by a stranger. -
Davids father beaten to death
In the fall of 1942 the were hiding in there apartment and all of the sudden they heard foot steps and they all hid behind the picture except his dad who hid under the roof, and they found him and beat him to death and cut him with axis -
Romek tortured to death
3 days alter Romek and David left to go to work and German officers were there and asked Romek about stealing the plans about the atom bomb and Romek denied eveything and got his eye poked out with a fire poker that was put in the fire and also had his tongue cut out before dying due to the officers that tortured him and David had to watch all of this happen while he was tied down. :( -
Rest of the Family
One day in hiding he was feeding his mom with the help of his sisters with the diamonds he found and traded for food the German troops came in and shot the rest fo his family but he hid under a couch with quick reactions and he promised his mom that he would live for his mommy. -
Aushwitz
After his family all died he eventually came out to the Nazis and for a punishment they shot every second person while standing in rows of 5. He would've been shot but he fainted as the bullets were fired. In Aushwitz, he was supposed to go into the gas chamber but was stopped one short so he did'nt go in and returned back. -
Jawiszowice
David later was moved to the punishment camp Jawisnowice where he met a electrician named Paul who got him food and saved his life many times. -
Death March
David had to next go onto the Death march to camp Buchenwald. On the way most of his friends were frozen to death or shot. -
Bergen-Belsen and Liberation
David was put into his last camp at Bergen-Belsen where there was nothing there. They planned to starve everyone out and the Germans were losing the war. When the were freed David was barely alive and had Typhus in his stomach. The nurses took him to the hospital where he got better or time. He was the only one left in his family and perservered through everything and lived one of the worlds hardest lifes......Ever.
