    During Paul Revere's ride he and Samuel Prescott rode on a horse and went around warning the colonists that the British forces were marching to Lexington and Concord. The colonists prepared for the arrival of the British.
    This was important because it allowed the colonists to prepare for the British and contributed to the start of the war.

    The american Crisis was a series of pamphlets from 1776 to 1778. He wrote this to inspire the American people and soldiers to endure hardships during the war. This increased the morale of the Americans and gained lots of support.
    This was important because it was a powerful tool for galvanizing public support and increasing morale for Americans. It also inspired colonists and brought them together.

    The declaration of independence was created in June 1776 when the continental Congress appointed a committee which included Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston. They made reasons to separate from Great Britain. This led to the separation of the thirteen American colonies from Britain.
    This event is important because it built the country we are today, an independent country.

    The battle of philadelphia was a series of events in which General Howe who was leading the British forces was trying to take control of Philadelphia. General Howe moved his army to Chesapeake Bay and marched to Philadelphia. George Washington moved his army south to block the advance of the British but was outflanked and forced to retreat. He ended up in Valley Forge.

    This even was important because it was when the continental army turned from a poor trained army to a more disciplined, professional and highly trained army.
