    Bahaullah's son Abdul Baha inherits leadership of the religion who spread the religion to the west.

    In 1921 Abdul Baha passed and his grandson Shoghi Effendi inherited leadership of the religion. He spread the religion globally and established much more structure.

    The Ten Year Crusade was a plan created by Shoghi Effendi to spread the Bahai faith into areas where it wasn't established.

    In 1963, Shoghi Effendi passed without appointing a successor which led to the creation of a governing body for the religion called the Universal House of Justice.

    from 1963 until now the Universal House of Justice has ran the religion and they oversee its growth and development worldwide
