    He developed in (1830-1842) on what he called a "system of positive philosophy," which uses logic and mathematics to understand human relationship and actions by using scientific methods of understanding the natural world. He's the founder of the discipline of sociology and of the doctrine of positivism. Likewise, he claimed the history of society could be divided into three different stages: theological, metaphysical, and positive, otherwise known as the Law of Three Stages.
