Chadwick Thoery
Chadwick discovered neutrons. Working with rutherford, he discovered particles with no charge. These particles were called neutrons. -
1913 BCE
Bohr Theory
Bohr improved on rutherfords model. He proposed that the electrons move around the nucleus in specific layers, or shell. -
1897 BCE
Thomson Theory
Thomson showed that the atom was made up of even smaller things. His atomic model was known as the "raisin bun model". Thomson experiments with cathode ray tubes showed that all atoms contain tiny negatively charged subatomic particles and electrons. -
1808 BCE
Dalton Theory
He created the very first atomic theory. Dalton reviewed atoms as tiny, solid, balls. All atoms of the same element are identical, different elements have different type of atoms. -
Rutherford Theory
Rutherford discovered protons and the nucleus. He showed that atoms have positive particles in the center, and are mostly empty space. -
Schrodinger Thoery
The quatum mechanical model of the atomic, which treats electrons as matter waves. Any two electrons occupying the same orbital must have the oppsite.
