Democritus thought
430B.C. is the year I could not put B.C on the date. Democritus knew there was smaller particles in an object. The only way to figure if there was smaller particles in an object was to smash the object. The discovery was smaller pieces but they could not be cut into smaller parts. The importance of the discovery was finding that the smallest object is called an atom -
John Dalton Atomic theory
All elements consist of atoms that cannot be divided. His theory was that the atom cannotbe divided. They are all are alike and have the same mass. Except if the elements are different. Neither can the atoms be changed into another different atom by a chemical reaction. -

He discovered that there are negative particles in the atom but they discovered that their must be positve particles because the electrons balence the particles. -
Maire Currie theory
This dicvoery was important because she was the first one to step into making a periodic table with the help of finding about the atom and what the atom does. This is still important because the discovery lead to helping cure cancer. What Marie discovered was that an atom are showing the radiation. She study the atom further to see if the amount of its element, show as much of the power it held. She found out it shows it is within the atom itslef. -
