Andy Warhol moves to New York after finishing college at Carnegie Institute of Technology. He graduated with a degree in Pictorial Design. Also while in New York he got his first job as a commercial artist for Glamour and Vogue Magazine. -

Andy Warhol’s work is unique. Some said it had a maternal feel to them. Others say there was a sexual appeal in them. -
Cartoooons
Andy Warhol made portraits from blown up comic strips. He mainly used famous cartoon characters like Popeye and Superman. -
Death and Disaster
Warhol used pictures of disaster events in this new series of portraits. Most of the pictures were of car/airplane crashes. He used pictures like these to show how society is so use to horror. -
Cambells Soup
The firsts of his many art works. Andy Warhol painted 32 pictures of Campbell’s Soup cans. Each can was not identical. Also known of the pictures were of the same can. Each can was a different flavor of soup. -
Sleep
An eight hour long film on someone sleeping. That’s absolutely crazy. Warhol's friend and poet John Giorno agreed to let Andy film him while he slept. Sounds crazy but it had a meaning. -

The Sculptures begin
Andy Warhol was famous for paintings and films. He had very little sculptures (most without names). Even though nobody or very little people knew about his sculptures they were famous because they had his name on them. -
Dead....Shot Dead
Martin Luther King Jr. was supposedly assassinated by James Earl Ray (everyone believed he was guilty though). -
Assassination!
Valerie Simons tries to assassinate Warhol. She was the sole member of Society for the Cutting Up of Men. Also she failed but two bullets entered Andy's lungs, stomach, liver and throat. -
Art Work
The exact date is unknown but somewhere in this time Andy Warhol created some of his best artworks, sculptures films etc... Warhol did many pieces of art work including pictures of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Jacqueline Kennedy and Edie Sedgwick. Sedgewick starred in his movie Poor Little Rich Girl, and Chelsea Girls while Marilyn Elvis and Jacqueline were stars of his paintings (mostly using the Silk Screen technique). -
