Period: 1941 to 1943 He was an Appointed Assistant Professor of Physics and Chemistry at Howard University. Period: 1941 to 1968 Branson became a full professor of Physics and was made Chairman of the physics department of Howard University Period: 1946 to 1950 Named Director of the research project at Howard University. 1947 Dr. Branson was named the Directory of the Office of Naval Research and Atomic Energy.
