Alexander the Great was born sometime in July of 356 BC. His mother was Olympias and his father was Philip II of Macedon. Alexander had two brothers, Philip III of Macedon and Caranus.

When Philip the II was ruling, Alexander was watching a spectacle with his mother Olympias. Alexander then met a horse that could not be tamed. he realized that the horse couldn't be tamed because he was scared of his own shadow. He later named him Bucephalus.
