Albert Einstein acquires Swiss citizenship. He completes his first scientific paper on the capillary forces of a straw. Mileva becomes pregnant and moves to live with her parents in to Hungary to give birth to their baby. Albert moves to Bern.

Daughter Lieserl born to Mileva Maric in Novi Sad, Hungary
Appointed as technical expert third class at the Swiss Patent Office in Bern. A year later Lieserl died of Scarlet fever. -
Albert and Mileva got married and there son Hans Albert is born. Albert is promoted expert, second class, at the patent office.
