  • Ms. Emma slaps Jefferson for saying he is a "hog" when she visits him in prison. Ms. Emma is very upset by this and realizes Grant lied to her about Jefferson being OK.

  • Ms. Emma, Rev. Ambrose , and Tane Lou visit Jefferson in day room for second time. Jefferson didn't want to see them because he was not allowed to bring his radio, this upset Rev. Ambrose, Tante Lou, and Ms. Emma greatly.
