  • Miss Emma returns from visiting Jefferson without Grant. Grant is in the school and they are preparing for the Christmas program and he thinks about Jefferson as this will be Jefferson's last Christmas.

  • Ms. Emma slaps Jefferson for saying he is a "hog" when she visits him in prison. Ms. Emma is very upset by this and realizes Grant lied to her about Jefferson being OK.

  • Grant is unsure how to help Jefferson after Grant throws his food on the cell floor. Grant is summoned to the Sheriff's office to talk about Ms. Emma requesting to visit Jefferson in the dayroom via his wife.

  • Ms. Emma, Tante Lou, and Rev. Ambrose have a strong talk with Grant about giving Jefferson the radio...because it was sinful and leading him away from God.
