Aurelia shouts, "Oh poor me. I don't like inns. There is always great danger." -
"Caupona est. Visne igitur ibi pernoctare, domine?"
It is an inn. Therefore, do you want to spend the night there, master? -
"Cur times mea domina?" Eucledes rogat.
"Why are you afraid my master?" Eucledes asked. -
"Ille caupo est amicus meus. Gracus est et vir bonus."
"The innkeeper is my friend. He is Greek and is a good man." -
Tum Aurelia, "Cornelius est senator Romanus. Senatores Ramani in csupones non pernoctant."
Then Aurelia, "Cornelius is a Roman senator. Roman Senators don't spend the night at inns." -
Cornelius tamen, "Quid facere possumus?" inquit.
However Cornelius asks, "What are we able to do?" -
Itaque, dum Eucleides Cornelios ad cauponam ducebat, raedarius solus in via manebat; raedam et equos custodiebat.
And so, while Eucleides was leading the Cornelius' toward the inn, the carriageman was staying alone in the road; guarding the horses and the carriage.
