    The Brown vs The Board of Education case got started in topeka, kansas. When Linda brown, an African American student had to walk six blocks away from her home to catch a bus in which would take her to Monroe elementary school. Monroe Elementary school was an all black school and there was a closer school to her house called sumnter school but was for all whites. The case was namned after Oliver Brown and was gonna base a legal strategy of a man with a familey to appeal the school board..
