Where was I?
This person opened his eyes and woke up completely dark. He did not know where he was: in a jail or a tomb. He started to count the steps to see if he was in a circle tomb. He wasn´t in a tomb and he thought that he was in a jail. He remenbered what crime had commited but he hadn´t remembered nothing, only he was in Toledo. The character thought that he would die whitout food, water. He slept because he felt very tired. -
The Pendulum
When he awoke he touched something. It was bread and water. The person started to crawl in the floor and found a hole. He jumped into the hole and he understood all now. After he ate the salty bread and water he felt tired and he slept again.
He woke up a few minutes later and it wasn´t dark in the walls were some terrifing paintings of demonns and a picture of time with a sharp pendululm. He tried to got up but he was tied in a bed. He found salty meat. The torturers wanted me to be thirsty. -
Rats
The pendulum was going to kill me slowly. Suddenly I heard small animal steps. It was rats. It smell the meat and wanted it. I colud see his red eyes and sharp teeth. Suddenly I had an idea I nibbed the meat in the rope then I put the hands away. The rats started to eat the rope and ran over the body. The pendulum started to be closer and he waited to cut the rope. When he escaped the walls started to move and became very hot. He was going to jump but the French army saved him. -
The Gold Bug

A Strange Bug
William legrand and he were good friends. He lived in a island near Charleston. A day in October he went to visit him but no one was in the house. He lit a fire and waited. They returned very late but with a strange bug. He drew a picture of it. It had got 3 strange spots that make a skull. Legrand said that in Egypt scarabs had magical powers. Jupiter said that it was a gold bug. He showed him a red writing but we couldn´t understand anything. Then we return to Charleston. -
An unknow journey
A month later Jupiter visited him to Charleston to said that Legrand is sick. He became to be crazy with the bug. When he went to the island Legrand was looking to the gold bug. Then he said that the gold bug was showing the path to something important. He asked where we go but they don´t answer. The men got into a boat with tools. They went to the mainland and walked. Legrand didn´t stop looking at the compass and say: GOOD! They climbed to a cliff and stopped in a tree very old and tall. -
The Treasure and the Message
Legrand said to Jupiter to climb that tree with the bug. In the seventh branch he saw a skull then he threw the bug to the left eye of the skull. Then they had to go 50 steps from the position of the fall of the insect. In that final position Jupiter syarted to dig. They found bones and 4 gold coins. After digging for many hours they found a box made of metal. Inside there were jewels and silver and gold coins.
The Legrand explained him how did he know the treasure, with the red ink paper. -

The Sick Man
The protagonist is a scientist and hypnotist. He told that is a way to treat illness. He explained that he can only hypnotize people who want it. A few years ago he had an idea, hypnotize a person that just died. It was the case of Mr Valdemar.
He was a scientist that was very ill and he wanted to be hypnotized before he died.He went to his house. Mr Valdemar was in the bed writing a book. He was very pale and thin. The protagonist hypnotized him easily. He asked if he was asleep. He said yes. -
The Sleep of Death
He didn´t want to wake up. A few minutes later he asked again and Valdemar said the same. Then he op'ened the yes, moved the lips . Then he brought and was very quiet. He died. The surprised was that he spoke but no from the mouth it came from somewhere of the body. The body didn´t change in days. Next day the doctor came and didn´t sign the death certificate because he wasn´t sure. -
The Death of Valdemar
The doctor said that in a few days the body was being black and bad but he never changed. He waited 7 months. During the months he made a decision, finish the hypnoitism. He didn´t got up and a yellow liquid came out of his ears.The main character said how did he feel. He heard a voice from the body. More and more liquid came out that smell terible. He went away to the bed and the body started to disappear. In a few minutes in the bed there were yellow liquid and bones -

Roderick´s House
The main character recived a letter from Roderick Usher, his old friend. In the letter he told that he is ill and needs help.
When he arrived the house was very old and frightening. He walked too many stairs and came to a large room, inside there was Roderick . He was very pale and looked older than the main character. -
Madeline Usher
He came to a large room. Inside there was Roderick. He was very pale and looked old. They talked for a time. Suddenly passed a woman, the sister of Roderick. She looked pale and she didn´t speak. She was wearing a black dress and a collar. He told that she´s sick too.He rested and had dinner.The others days they read books, played the guitar... but he didn´t see Madeline. Passing the days Roderick became sad and quiet.
A night he came to my room and said him that Madeline is dead. -
The Fall of the House
He told that she was very ill. The said to take the corpse to a coffin. The room was dark and damp. They put it in the coffin and they left. Since this day Roderick never sleep again.
A night he came to my room again and said me if He heard it and see it. They walked to the room and they saw Madeline. She was wearing a white dress and covered with blood. She put his arms to Roderick. He screamed and fell down. They were dead. The character ran out of the house. Then the water covered the house. -
Down into the Maelstorm

Moskoe and Vurrgh, Norway.
The peron knew about the Maelstrom in books. He went to Norway and paid a guide to see the Maelstrom. They went to a cliff. He told him to is very dangerous for ships and died a lot of people. They looked the Maelstrom for a long time.
The guide said that he did fishing near Moskoe.But one person came out of the Maelstrom and came alive. The main character doesn´t belive him. Then the fisherman said that he´s forty and look sixty. Then he told his story. -
A Terrible Trip
The guide and his brothers went out to fish near Moskoe. THey had to returned until 7. He looked the watch, it was 6 o´clock. THey still fishing and started the Maelstrom. His watch had stopped. The boat started to circle around the mouth, They were going to die. -
A Terrible Death
He held the drinking water barrel. He thought to wait to fall around 3 or 4 hours. The answer was no. The clouds dissapeared and show the moon and the mouth. The guide took a rope and he tied around the barrel and his body. He didn´die but his brothers yes. The mouth dissaperared and made him old. Nobody didn´t knew him. -

A Terrible Illness
An illness came to the country. Is called Red Death. It killed a half of the country. It was terrible.
Prince Prospero, the ruler, wanted to take all his courtiers to his castle. He didn´t want to think about the Red Death. Inside the castle he had a lot of food and wine. When the went to the castle they closed the doors. Nobody can come and go out. -
The Masque
The Prince planned a masque. Musicians and dancers were entretain the people. All the people ate, drank and danced. Inside the castle there were 7 rooms: blue, orange, green, violet, white, purple and black. All has a window with the color of the room. But the last it was red, color of blood and had a clock. All the people stopped and hear the clock all the hours. -
A Strange Person
MIdnight came and the bell clockl rang 12 times. In that moment they saw a strange person. Nobody had seen him. The strange wore a white gown, dead men clothes covered with blood. The mask was the face of a dead man, also covered of blood.
The prince shouted to take him and killed him. Nobody touched him. The stranger came to the 7º room. The prince took a knife and tried to kill him. Suddenly he cried in pain. All the people fell down, started bleeding and died. Red Death was the ruler now. -

From Charleston to New York
The character lives in New York but he stayed several months in Charleston. He travelled by ship. When his ship was ready he wnated to see the list of the passengers and inside there was Cornelius Wyatt. He recived a letter that he had married. He wanted to meet with Mrs Wyatt. -
A Strange Box
Cornelius was an artist. He painted landscapes. He saw that Cornelius had booked 3 cabins. He had 3 ladies: his wife and 2 sisters. When he saw him he spoke with them but he couldn´t see the face of his wife. Cornelius didn´t speak. 2 people brought a box that smelt very bad. Maybe was paintings. When all the people were eating dinner he tried to speak with him but he couldn´t. He was very pale when he talked about the box. A night he heard a men crying. It was Cornelius, but without his wife. -
Sharp Rocks in the Coastline
THe character said to himself that Cornelius cannot leave them for a minute. But a few days after leaving Charleston there was a very bad strom. Suddenly the shiop hit some rocks and started to sink. Everyone went to the boats. The character was with the captain and they only can brought Cornelius. Cornelius didn´t want. So he sank with the box and ship.
Months later he met with the captain. He told him that inside the box there was the corpse of Mr Wyatt wife. She died 1 day before.
