    In addition to my new invention I verified that Copernicus's system which states the earth and all other planets revolve around the sun, contrary to the system that was commonly thought that the sun revolves around the earth.

    Charged for heresy against the Church for teaching the Copernican system, which was said to be against the Bible. I was sentenced to house arrest, instead of going to jail,due to my old age and sickness.
