Rameck began attending University High School where he met George and Sam in their advanced placement class. Little did he know at the time that this would change his life. -
Lost Dreams
Rameck wanted to become an actor and began taking acting classes . His teacher said he needed $ 150 to make a portfolio. He borrowed the money from his grandmother. When he came home he realized the power got cut off and he never got the pictures . -
Locked up
Rameck and his friends were hanging out in a school yard when a crack head apporoached them and asked to buy some crack , Rameck's friend sold it to him . Then , Rameck and his friends decided to jump the crack head and Rameck stabbed him . They got caught and then Rameck ended up in jail for four days . Fortunatly for Rameck , the crackhead never showed up in court and his charges were dropped. -
The Pact
Rameck , Sam and George heard from Carla Dickson a representative from Seton Hall's Pre-Medical-Pre-Dental program . This is when they decided that they were going to go to Seton Hall and become doctors and make something out of their lives. -
The Begining
Rameck had to go to a summer program on campus where he would get remediation for the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program at Seton Hall because he was behind. This was the first time in his life that he felt secure and wasn't worried about moving from house to house. -
Bad Influences
Rameck was still on probation and his step-brother and friend came to visit, they were telling Rameck how easy it is to steal from the University store, they pressured him into going and stealing from the store. Rameck did, and the sales clerk was suspicious and questioned Rameck, Rameck ran and the clerk chased him. Luckily for Rameck, the clerk never caught him and Rameck didn't get in troublel for his actions. -
Big Break
Rameck's step brother and some friends were visiting h im at Seton Hall and this white boy was giving him atitude. He didn't want to look like a punk so he beat the white guy up. When Rameck was in his room at 4 am, he heard a loud banging on the door and it was a South Orange Police officer, he was with the white boy and his mother. The police officer asked the mother if they wanted to presh charges and they said now however, Rameck still got probation for six months from his school. -
Postive Influences
Rameck was in the book store and he got the book: Countering the Conspiracy to Destroy Black Boys. After he read this book he decided he would make positive changes. They created the Ujima organization which was a program to mentor kids in poor neighbourhoods. -
Broken Heart
Rameck and his longtime girlfriend Kay had broken up . He was devestated and was going to call her and tell her he was going to drop out of medical school and become a teacher just to be with her. But, he had founf out that she was already seeing someone else and he got re-focused on becoming a doctor. -
Wrongfully Charged
Rameck and a couple friends were comming home from a Mike Tyson fight when he was followed by white officers . The officers pulled Rameck over for no good reason at all and began swearing at him and using force on him . They began searching his car and found a very small fishing knife in his golve box and charged him. Luckily for Rameck, when it was brought to court the evidence was lost and the charges were dropped. -
Goodbye Ma
Ma died of liver diesease a few days after receiving a liver transplant. -
Graduation
Rameck had successfully become a doctor. All his hard work had paid off.
