    Nuclear Arms Race started in 1949 when the Soviet Union had developed nuclear weapons. Then the United States and Societ Union both made the Hydrogen bomb(worse than the Nuclear bomb). In 1969 Stragetic Arms Limitation was created to limit the number of nuclear weapons each side held. 1972 &1979 both signed the agreement.     Korea was divided on the 38th parallel after Japan's defeat. In 1950 north korea Kim II Sung wanted to reunit Korea. North Korea attcked in that year taking over most of the South. North Korea father advanced until U.N forces them to stop. U.S caputred the north-south rail lines to stop north kores from the supply on food. and ammunition. Success alarmed China, they sent thousands of troops to help N.K, turned into a stalmate. 1953 both sides signed a armistice-held for the rest of the cold war.

U.S only sent supply then troops causing it a Cold War conflict. 1964 S.V conducted raid on N.V. US began bombing targets in the North- China and Soviet Union sent aid to help the North. American leaders decided they needed to leave Vietnam. Pairs Peace Accord-to cease fire. 2 years after the North conquered the South.
