  • Declaration of Independence signed

    It was signed by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and many more. The declaration was to declare for the 13 colonies its independence from Great Britian.
  • Articles of Confederation Ratified

    Articles of Confederation Ratified
    The ratification process was completed in March of 1781, legally federating the sovereign and independent states, already cooperating through the Continental Congress.
  • Constitution Ratified

    Constitution Ratified
    Less than three months after the constitution was signed, Delaware was the first to ratify it. New Hampshire was the 9th state putting the constitution into effect.
