The most serious Cold War in Western Hemisphere involved with Latin America.Fidel Castro organized an armed rebellion agaiinst the corrupt dictator. In 1959 Castro led the guerilla army to victory Castro restricted cubans freedom. In 1961 John F Kennedy supported U.S. trained Cuban exiles. Berlin Wall
The Berlin wall was the key focus of the Cold war. The Berlin wall was split into two sections. The West and the East, the West was democratic and the East was communist. The East Germans were unhappy with communism so everyone tried to go on the West side. The East didn't want to loose there people so they decided to put up a wall in 1961. The wall was made up of a concrete barrier topped with barbed wire. -

Soviet Union decided to go in a long war in Afghanistan. Afghanistans landlords commanded armed men as warlands and muslim conservatives charged that both policies threatned Islamic. The president was suppose to sign a paper to reduce the power of Soviet government. The committee anounced to the nation that Gorbacheu has resigned that the govenment was taking control. At the end of 1991 the remanining Soviet republics separated to form 12 independent nations. After 69 years, the Soviet Union had ceased to exist.
