The stern control of those two central powers dictated Bahá’u’lláh’s movements His entire life, starting in what was then called Persia, where He was born.

The Bab is imprisoned and executed.

Mirza Husayn-Ali came to realise that he was the chosen one, the fullfillment of the Bab's prophecy. He declares him publically to be the Baha'u'llah meaning the glory of God.

A Persian called Siyyid Ali Muhammad declared himself to be the Mahdi. He took the title of the Bab, meaning the gate. He was preparing the way for another messenger of God.

His final years were spent in exile and when he died 1892 his remains were burried near Mt Carmel.

Abbas Effendi the son of Baha'u'llah takes on the title Abdu'l-Baha (servant of Baha.) He is released from prison and begins to spread the faith considerably.
