    On November 4 1979 muslin students who fallowed imam’s line occupied the American embassy in Tehran and took U.S. diplomats hostage. 52 U.S. diplomats were held hostage for 444 days.

    Iraq invaded Kuait because they were in dispute over oil fields.

    The U.S had spy planes fly over Iraq to protect the concerned citizens. The citizens were worried about the goverment surpressing their needs as citizens, from air raids.

    The United States sent troops to Iraq as a part of Desert Shield and Desert Storm because Iraq invaded Kuwait.

    April 1995 a total embargo on dealings with Iran by U.S. companies was imposed by U.S. president Clinton. Trade with the U.S. , which had been growing following the end of the Iran–Iraq War, ended abruptly.

    On the morning of September 11, 2001 19 hijackers took over 4 commercial airplanes in the United States. The terrorists successfully hit three of their four targets, the World Trade Center's Tower 1 and Tower 2, and the Pentagon were all hit. The final plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania their intended target is suspected to be either the U.S. Capital or the White House. 2,993 people died, the people who died were from over 90 different countries. Over 6,921 people were injured.
